Children ages 9 and under are invited to hunt for plastic eggs and candy, with kids divided into four age groups for a fun and safe experience. Plus, enjoy a special visit from the Easter Bunny! The hunt begins promptly at 1:00 pm (arrive 10 minutes early) on the soccer fields at Woodland Elementary School. Option 2) NEW this year: Enjoy the egg hunt, then extend the fun! During this cook-along experience you will learn to make a classic Jamaican hand pie (known as a meat patty) from the golden flaky pastry to the savory spiced meat-filling full of Island-Inspired flavor! You will also learn how to customize the seasoning and heat level to your taste! Tess will guide you through the process step-by-step. The best tricks for freezing and reheating will also be shared so you can enjoy these hand pies anytime. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow time for shopping. Have your questions answered by the instructor and interact with other participants as you cook-along. While cooking along is loads of fun, it is optional.
