In Sparkle & Sprinkle: 4th of July Cake pops, participants will roll, dip, and decorate their very own cake pops in patriotic style. Using red, white, and blue shimmers, sprinkles, and edible glitter, each cake pop becomes a dazzling treat that’s as fun to make as it is to eat. They will also learn simple cake pop techniques, experiment with colorful designs, and create festive treats perfect for the holiday. K-8)EnrichmentIn this fun, hands-on workshop, participants will explore the fascinating world of biology while baking delicious treats! We will combine STEM learning with culinary creativity, discovering how science and nature connect to everyday life. What We’ll Do Panda Brownies: While baking panda-themed brownies, students will learn about the biology and conservation of giant pandas, including their habitats, diets, and the importance of biodiversity. Butterfly Truffles: As they craft colorful butterfly truffles, youth will dive into the lifecycle of butterflies—from egg to caterpillar, chrysalis, and adult—connecting biology concepts to their edible creations. Watercolor SplashEnrichmentDo you have a painting started and not sure where to go next? Do you have ideas for a painting but need support/guidance for how to begin? This class is for students who have learned the very basic watercolor skills and are ready to take the next step in developing their own work and style. This class develops the student’s confidence in developing original paintings from photographs. Students will work on compositional design, creating an area of focus, value planning and color harmony. Weekly demonstrations for a specific technique to develop competency, individual coaching to help realize your visions and encouragement to work at your own pace.
