This course introduces the basics of American Sign Language (ASL). This course is designed for students with no or minimal sign language skills to develop basic skills in use of ASL and knowledge of Deaf culture. Emphasis is upon acquisition of comprehension, production and interactional skills using basic grammatical features. ASL will be taught within contexts and related to general surroundings and everyday life experiences. The only requirements for kids to attend are that they are able to read and be accompanied by a parent/adult.

Prefer to keep it simple? Bring your favorite bakery baguettes and focus on the fillings and assembly. Either way you’ll leave inspired and ready to recreate gourmet bahn mi at home. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow time for shopping. Have your questions answered by the instructor and interact with other participants as you cook-along. While cooking along is loads of fun, it is optional. Participants will also receive a copy of the instructor’s personal recipes in PDF format following the class. This class will take place on Zoom.
