Lakes Area Talent Show-Entry Fee

This is our first talent show endeavor at Alexandria Public Schools Community Education. We think this event will be a great way for people to safely engage with each other while giving our community a chance to showcase their talents.

Pay your $10 Entry Fee through this course. Fees must be paid no later than the March 25th submission deadline.

How to submit your video. Click HERE to complete registration including your video (Google link, Youtube, WeVideo, Etc).

What you need to know about the video. The video must be 3 minutes long or less. Talents must be able to be set up/take down within 5 minutes or less. Basic lighting and sound will be available. Content should be appropriate and suitable for family viewing.

How will videos be selected and judged.

After all videos are submitted, they will be reviewed by a panel of judges. The judges will pick the top 10 performers based on:

• Entertainment
• Technical Skills
• Stage Presence
• Crowd Appeal

What can you win? The top three acts will receive Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce dollars. First $300, second $200, and third $100.

Who can audition? Adults and youth of all ages are invited to audition ANY talent. Any family friendly talent from playing an instrument, dance, athletics, gymnastics, magic, unique skills, or whatever you think people would enjoy watching.

Where and when is it going to be held? The top 10 acts selected from the videos submitted will perform live on stage at AAHS Performing Arts Center on Thursday, April 22nd at 7pm. Those acts will also be expected to attend a dress rehearsal on Wednesday, April 21st at 7pm. (All Covid rules and restrictions will be adhered to in accordance with the MDH and CDC guidelines.)
