Over two comprehensive sessions, we'll equip you with the knowledge and confidence needed for the arrival of your little one. From answering important questions about labor and delivery to sharing what to expect at the hospital. Plus, get an exclusive tour of our state-of-the-art labor and delivery department. Classes will be held in their lower level Conference room. Please enter through Door 13 (the Surgery Center door) and you will be directed from there. Please watch for signs. When registering, if bringing a guest such as a spouse, significant other, or other friend/family member, please add them as an Additional Attending User or list them in the question portion of the registration. Coffee Connections Calling all parents of preschoolers! No matter what program your children attend, join us for coffee and discussion about your developing 3-5 year old. This parent conversation will provide you with an opportunity to ask questions and celebrate the joys and challenges of raising your young child. Sibling care is available on a limited basis. Class cost is $78 annual or $36 per fall, winter, or spring session. 50% discount for families enrolled in Alexandria Public Schools Preschool. Join a certified lactation consultant with Horizon Public Health to learn the basics of breastfeeding including benefits, how and when to feed, getting enough milk, breast care and lifestyle suggestions. Mothers and birth parents are encouraged to attend during their third trimester. $25.00 per couple. Time For Toddlers (10-23 months) Exploration is the toddler's way of life between 10 and 23 months. New and fast development moves babies into toddlerhood. Parents, come with your toddler for stimulating activities and suggestions for supporting healthy development! You will have fun with learning activities together when you arrive. After a brief circle time, parents will split into a discussion on toddlers’ social, emotional, and physical development while children continue to explore and learn with an early childhood teacher.
