Hot Chocolate & History: "The First Centennial in Alexandria and Douglas County"

The Douglas County Historical Society will host January's Hot Chocolate & History. The bustling frontier towns like Alexandria were just picking up momentum when the nation’s first centennial occurred in 1876. Now on the eve of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, join DCHS as we explore how that first centennial was celebrated locally more than a century ago.

When you arrive at the Douglas County Historical Society, you will be welcomed with hot chocolate!
